For those of you who know me, you know that I have always loved self-development. I love getting to know myself. Over the years I have also seen how impactful it can be, to become more aware of ourselves and get to know ourselves — how it can change our lives, and how it can change us.
At the same time, it is easy to lose ourselves in ‘doing the work’. There are so many self-development tools out there — how do we know what we need? And how do we make sure we don’t distract ourselves with tools that aren’t actually changing anything?
These last few years, I have tried many different things — from courses to coaching to self-study. And one of the things I learned is that it is very easy to think that we are ‘doing the work’ while in reality nothing is changing.
What I have also learned is that not everyone can guide us in the way that we need. This doesn’t always have anything to do with them — sometimes it’s just that what they are doing isn’t what we need. But it can be difficult to recognise this, especially when we aren’t that connected to ourselves or our intuition yet.
So how do we know what we need?
Introducing: A guide to self-development
The Guide to Self-Development is a guide with questions for you to reflect on, to help you discover which self-development tools are most aligned for you at this moment. It is an invitation to take a deep breath and ask yourself a question—before diving into the next self-development tool.
What do I genuinely need?
Through thoughtful questions, the Guide to Self-Development helps you discover what you need. It guides you to the ‘right’ tools for you, so you can give your resources to what genuinely supports you.
The guide includes questions for you to reflect on to discover which tools are most aligned for you at this moment, as well as questions to help you discover which tools to invest in, if any.
It is the guide I would have loved to have when I was navigating self-development from a place of low self-worth. I hope that it will guide you.
Love,
Judith
P.s. If you’re reflecting on the questions in the guide, I’d love to know! Share your thoughts, insights, and reflections in the comments below or send me a DM here on Substack. I love hearing how the guide is helping you.
Thank you for your work and sweet guidance, dear Judith.
Thank you for your guide book 💎 I will reflect on this and come back later 🐳 and yes. When it comes to self authority and all the beautiful access we might get it's often more effective to not rush too much to raise more neediness. And some people are offering in a very strong and buisy manner 😊 We need to be really aware of our needs, numbers and what we want to create. Beautiful letter!! Thank you 🌺
